*SLEEVES
We have various qualities of sleeve which will be reflected in the price.
ALL ARE OF GOOD QUALITY but differ in their application.

PVC VINYL (Polyvinylchloride)
Cost effective, strong, the workhorse of the sleeve world.
Welded on three sides. The holes are machine punched to fit many binders.
Glues should not be used to secure the contents as vinyl can react to chemicals.
A small strip of double sided tape or the inherent static electricity should be enough.
Not recommended for inkjet or marker pens as the material may pick up the colour.
Vinyl discolours in daylight.

POLYPROPYLENE
The best all round choice for cost and quality. Unaffected by (reasonable) heat and
cold. Can handle glues, inks, markers and paint without transference or distortion.
Satisfactory as an archival sleeve. Thinner and more flexible than vinyl.
Holds contents firmly without need of glue or tape.
May slightly discolour in daylight.

POLYESTER
The highest quality for clarity and strength. Difficult to weld so the sleeve is usually
open on three sides and most are hand folded and punched. Will not discolour even in
sunlight. Resistant to most chemicals and moisture.
